He was predeceased by: his former wife Lois Whitcomb; his significant other Dorothy Howard; and his siblings, Daniel, David, Robert, Monica Sikes and Maureen Waterrose.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Wallace of Warsaw, Katrina Riley (Kevin) of Tampa, FL, Nichole Murtha of Warsaw, Michael Murtha (Patti) of Warsaw and Kevin Murtha of Oswego; and his siblings, Mary Weber (Jacob) of Pavilion, Margaret Parmerter (late Wilson) of North Java, Madeline Beach (Angelo Lamitina) of Gainesville, Jean Vincent (Walter) of Bloomfield, Kathy Murtha of Silver Springs, Gerald Murtha (Pamela) of Ohio and Jack Murtha of Warsaw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
