He was predeceased by: his parents, John Strathearn and Mary King Strathearn; and his sibling Leigh Strathearn (Eleanor). He is survived by: his wife Sue Jarvis Strathearn; his children, Walter Strathearn (Mary Lou) of Wyoming, Peggy Brotz (Chris) of Union, SC, Kenneth Strathearn (Cheryl) of Wyoming and Philip Strathearn (Hope) of Wyoming; his stepchildren, Traci Schimmel (Kevin) of Rochester and Corey McAtee (Susan) of Churchville; and his siblings, Albert Strathearn (Betty) of Wyoming, Harold Strathearn (Violet), Verna Luengen (Bill), Bernice Brayley (Elwin) and Lucille Carlson (Clayton). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 33% capacity and masks are required.
