He was predeceased by: his wife Maureen Knauf; his parents, Marion Herrington Knauf and James J. Knauf; and his brothers, Daniel Knauf and Patrick Knauf (Sandy).
He is survived by: his children, Michele Lewitinn (Daniel), Cindy Stocklas (Michael) and TJ Vanvorst (Tina); his sisters, Sally Volks (late Frank) and Mary Ann Conroy (Robert); and his grandchildren, Kaity, Ashleigh, Joey, Mikey, Megan, Jacob, Landon, Skylar, Ayden and Charlotte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
