She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lewis and Angela Lewis (Danley); her husband Jakob Muehl; her daughter Amy; her siblings, Hazel Lewis Wells and Clifford Lewis; and her great grandchild Ottilia Torres.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Rooney, Stephanie Price (Larry) and Nancy Decker (Larry); and her grandchildren, Jesse Rooney (Alexis Loving), Evan Rooney (Kathy Fitzgerald), Christie Torres (Charles), Kathleen Ochandarena (Will), Joshua Decker (Kristin), Madeleine Helo (Aaron), Samantha Pence (Robert), Tyrell Decker (Cami), Ethan Decker and Erica Butler (Christopher). She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home (155 Main St, Worcester, NY 12197). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (201 Main St, Worcester, NY 12197).

“I am sending hugs and memories to the family of Vi Muehl at this time. I am 1 of the Mereness girls from West Hill who always played with this strong farm family. I have many memories of the siblings playing, the families gathering all through school. I'm Karen , the 3rd in line after Gerry but my oldest sister Ginny was in Susan's grade. My Mom, Millie and Vi were connected as were Jack and my Dad, Ivan. Thinking about all of you now. Karen (Mereness) Curlis now in Ft Ann NY”
