Ames of Worcester, New York, born in Cooperstown, New York, who passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Usalatz and Vera Usalatz (Roseboom); and her partner Albro Brown. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Ames (Meg) and Bryan Ames (Erin); her grandchildren, Camden, Jack, Gracie, Nathan and Tennyson; her sister Evelyn Preston (Ray); and her nephews, Justin Preston (Kristin), Jon Preston (Chris) and Nate Preston (Charity).

“So sorry for your loss. I remember Jean from years passed when the Mereness girls would sing in the church and we all would laugh together with Jean and Evelyn after, share stories, etc. My parents would shake their heads but laugh along. Jean was a great piano player and director of choir, as well as good person. Hugs to all of you. Big hug to you Evie!!! Karen Mereness Curlis”
