With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Catherine Thornton of Woodside, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lyons (Taylor) and Matilda Lyons. She is survived by: her sister Nancy (England); and her husband Jack Thornton.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home (43-07 Queens Blvd, Sunnyside, NY 11104). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 10:45 AM. A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, Woodside, NY 11377).
