It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Baker of Woodridge, New York, who passed away on June 14, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Lawrence and Lee Postell Lawrence; and her husband James E. Baker Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Semmie Baker of Roswell, Georgia and James Edward Baker Jr. (Ashley) of Glen Spey; her grandchildren, Kalvin Carter, Evajae Powell, Derik Powell, Ashanti Carter-Russell (Nicholas), Shakree Gibson, Zaynah Baker, Trey Baker, N'tori Hagler, Evie Baker, William Baker, Donte Baker, Jayden Baker, LaDarien Baker and Makayla Nash; her great grandchildren, Da'navaeh Palmer, Malik Russell, Zailah Johnson, Zy'aire Rogers-Baker and Anastasia Gibson; and her siblings, Doris Gay, Ann Young, Semmie Johnson and Otha Lawrence. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home and at the church, and facemasks are required.
