He was predeceased by: his parent Clarence Prior. He is survived by: his parent Pearline Moyd Prior; his wife Joyce Prior of Brooklyn; his children, Michael Nix, Jonathan Jr. and Tameeka Heyward (Chris) of Charleston; his granddaughters, Jazmine Prior of Andrews, SC and Amiah Nix of Georgia; and his siblings, Helen P. Rudolph (Joseph) of Georgetown, Pearly Williams of Georgetown, Christina P. Tucker (Ronald) of Columbia and Belzer Lee Prior (Susie) of Detroit. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
