With solemn reverence, we commemorate Catherine Mary Leonard of Woodhaven, New York, whose life came to an end on January 12, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Coyne and Catherine Coyne of County Mayo, Ireland.; her husband Jerry Leonard of Hollis, Queens.; her daughter Maureen; and her siblings, Michael and Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen, Eileen, Mary (Andrew) and Thomas (Ann Marie); her grandchildren, Michael (Alexandra), Christopher (Samantha), Daniel (Kathleen), Courtney, Cirsten, Madeleine, Connor, Jack, Joseph and Grace; and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Olivia, Brooks and Mason.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Notre Dame R. C. Church (5 Mayfair Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040).
