He was predeceased by: his grandson Neil Howard; his brother Donald Howard; and his daughter-in-law Vida Howard. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his stepchildren, Michele Ferrauilo (Joseph) of Rochester, Michael Maher of Rochester, Wendy Walzer (Paul) of Rochester and Jennifer Pollock (Matthew) of Rochester; his children, Richard A. Howard, Jr., Ted (Patricia), Vicki Smith (Mike) and Debra (John); his grandchildren, Kristi, Ashley, Brittany, Brooke, Dylan, Austin, Lee, Allison, Jamie, Jackson, Daniella, Penelope, Devin, Megan, Paige, Sally, Nikki, Cathy, Christopher, Rikki, Syssa, Jessie, Jacob and Tyler; his sister Peggy Kot; his stepsister Joyce Dubiel (Mike); and his brother Ralph Howard (Sharon). He is also survived by 41 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (3022 Oneida St, Sauquoit, NY 13456). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
