He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kern and Olga Kern; his brother Steve Kern; his nephew Matthew Kern; and also Jeanne Kern.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Kern; his children, Travis, Diana Hartman, Dan Kern, Kristen Fiandra, Lacey Hartman and Greg Wylmott; his grandchildren, Austin Hartman, Aiden, Emily Lautenshlager, Taylor and Andrew Fiandra; his nieces, Kristy and Diane; and his brother Carl Kern.
