He was predeceased by: his parents, John Samuel Hunter and Olivia Jane Wilson; his sister Mary; his brothers-in-law, Galon Eldridge and John Plachotnik; his stepfather Maurice Phelps; and his great-niece Kirsten Eldridge.
He is survived by: his daughter Michaelyn Hunter of Winthrop; and his siblings, Marie Plachotnik of Frankfort, Joyce Hunter of Massena, Susie Cinnamon of Chesterville, Jeffery Hunter of Winthrop and Marcy Phelps-Hand of Auburn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
