It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bette Williams of Winthrop, New York, born in Moira, New York, who passed away on September 17, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Bette departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Bette. Though Bette may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Ploof and Bessie Ploof (Patraw); and her son Scott. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Williams; and her children, Rick (Kathi), Mark, Craig (Dawn), Shelly (Steve Fonte) and Chris Williams. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Knapp Station Community Church (3035 County Rte 47, Winthrop, NY 13667). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America or the Alzheimer's Association of America.
