He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold R Miller and Eleanor M. Miller (Arrow); his brothers, Richard E. "Dick" Miller (Phyllis) and Raymond Miller (Sharon); his niece Teresa Miller; and his pet Shawnee.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Lisa Longo (Vestal), Elaine Miller (Ouaquaga), Tina Rucky, Amanda Miller (Kirkwood), David Miller and Raymond Miller Jr. (New Jersey); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Amber Batista (Wilson), Audrey Hoyt (Alex), Doreen Miller, Ariel Miller, Ashley Rucky, Zachary Miller and Andrew Rucky; and his pet Lakota. He is also survived by many great, great nieces and nephews, many dear friends and his best friend.

“I got to know Doug very well from when I was the grocery manager at the Big M where he shopped every Saturday morning. We shared many good stories about guns/crossbow hunting thru out our conversations .He was a great man /will be sadly missed.
