He is survived by: his wife Emilie Schafer; his children, Julianna Quinn (Gary), Harry Schafer (Deborah), Siegfried Schafer (Elaine) and Susanna Brown (David); his grandchildren, Scott Schafer (Dianna Harden), Crystal Terrell (Craig) and Katie Hartley (Jesse); and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Carson Terrell, Eva, Maverick Hartley and Emma Schafer.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the care they provided to Alfred, especially during this unprecedented time – they were "family" when family could not come for almost a year due to Covid-19.
