With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William A. Poehmel of Windham, New York, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on May 8, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Poehmel and Sally Poehmel; and his brother John Poehmel. He is survived by: his children, William Poehmel, Jr. (Stacy), James Poehmel (Haily), Laura Poehmel (Rich) and Anthony Poehmel (Joanna); his grandchildren, Alaina Proudman (Kyle), Jordan Poehmel (Julia), Connor Poehmel and Madison Poehmel; his children, Braden and Amaya Poehmel; his great grandchildren, Riley Clum, Gunner and Waylon Proudman; his sisters, Carol Schiefer and Sally Saracino; his wife Ruth Ann Poehmel; and his siblings, Edith Neckels, Lucille O'Mara, Lawrence and James.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the American Lung Association.
