It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Lorenzo Hempstead (Windham, New York), born in Catskill, New York, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald V. Hempstead and Helen Hempstead; his children, Richard Scott and Sherri Lee; and his brothers, Frank (Helen) and Steven Hempstead.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Lauri Motschmann (Robert), Carrie Unser and Tyrel Hempstead (Eryn Dumoulin); his grandchildren, Megan Simmons (Keith), Brandon Motschmann (Jaimee), Loren Doherty (Zachary), Kylei Reoun (TJ), Michael Diamond (Brittany Ambrosino), Conor Unser, Cameron Kenny, Tyler Lally, Makynley Hempstead, Hunter and Layla Dumoulin; his sister Terry Shrader; and his sister-in-law Linda Hempstead. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
