He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Brainard and Lillian "Lilly" Brainard (Kuykendall); his wife Millie; his daughter Patricia Beckwith; and his granddaughter Colleen Brainard.
He is survived by: his children, Earlene (Chester Merrill), Suzy (Donald Brown), Cindy (Frank Robbins) and Sam (Darcy Brainard); and his daughter-in-law Karen Brainard of Williamsport. He is also survived by Twenty grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren.
