He was predeceased by: his parents, Exton Rood and Hester Rood. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Rood, Anne Brady (Ethan), Virgina Ramos (John), Christine Werth (Craig), Susan Terrill, Michael (Carol) and Jeff Terrill (Patty); his grandchildren, Josh Rood, Ethan, Olivia Brady, Christopher Wagembaugh, Brandon (Rachel), Abigail, Brianna, Cassidy, Jeremy (Sarah), Zachery Terrill, Joseph Gould (Brittany), Brittany Gould and Sara Gould; and his sister-in-law Linda Falke. He is also survived by Thirteen Great-Grandchildren.
