She was predeceased by: her parents, John Meier and Hedwig Wachter Meier (Betty); her husband Roger VanEtten; her son Michael; and her sister Maria Thompson.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Todd of Hillsdale; her daughters, Debbie Sherman of Middleburgh and Bonnie Bentley of Maplecrest; and her daughter-in-law Gail VanEtten of Leeds. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
