He was predeceased by: his grandson Nathan Cotton; his parents, John Evanek and Margaret Evanek; and his parents-in-law, Harry and Edna Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita (Moore); his sons, Damon Evanek (Apalachin) and Kevin (Brenda); his grandchildren, Eryn Mattox (Brad), Ryan Cotton, Anna Evanek and Jacob Evanek; and his siblings, Roger Evanek (Endicott), David (Marge) and Sherry Evanek (Mike Parr). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Apalachin Fire Department.
