He was predeceased by: his wife Faye; his parents, Eva Platt and Clifford Platt; his brothers, Charles, Eugene, Gerald and Warren Platt; his siblings-in-law, Eva, Barbara, Sandy Platt, Ruthann Knapp, Gail Knapp, Gerard Wellman, Pete Spezio and John Knapp; his nephews, David Wellman, David Platt and Billy Platt; and his niece Carla Thurston.
He is survived by: his daughter Michele Myers-Platt; his grandchildren, Jessica Winans and Nathan Winans; his great grandchild Silas Rowe; his sisters, Catherine Wellman and Vivian Spezio; and his siblings-in-law, Wendy Platt, Carol Thurston and Calvin Thurston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great and great, great nieces and nephews.
