He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Bowman and Virginia Bowman; his brothers, Ken, Chuck and Ron Bowman; his grandson Brandon Yanchulis; and his son-in-law Walter Szmyrko.

He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Bowman; his children, Debbie Bowman, Jamie Lesko (Al), Ginger Szmyrko, Teri Berridge (Frank) and Deron Bowman (Nicole); his brother Bob Bowman (Katie); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Tiffany and Celeste Bowman. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
