He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Earl and Eva Mae Knickerbocker (Mason); and his sister Melinda Knickerbocker. He is survived by: his wife Amy; his son Fredrick Mason Knickerbocker; his sisters, Zoe Hill and Fern Knickerbocker; his aunt Joanne Mason; and his cousins, Richard Mason and Ruth Mason.
