He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle L Ruland and Ruth Ruland (Killeen). He is survived by: his wife Sandra of Johnson City; his son Kenneth Ruland (Jennifer) of Chenango Bridge; his granddaughter McKenna Ruland; his sister Judith Hopkins (Charles) of Binghamton; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Smith of Glen Burnie, MD and George Schuster (Kathy) of Conklin. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
