He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M Wixted and Harriet Drake Wixted Morgan; his sister Carol Wixted Hunt; and his stepfather Peter Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Marion Wixted (Tobin); his sons, Joseph M Wixted III (Karen) of Chesterton, IN and Jeffrey M Wixted (Joann) of Sullivan, IN; his grandchildren, Adam M Wixted, Jeffrey M Wixted Jr. (Kadie) and Breanna Southwood; his great grandchild Easton Wallace Southwood; and his sister Kathleen "Kate" Wixted Francis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or to Alzheimer's Association.
