It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Louise Atanas of Williston Park, New York, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Evelyn Louise departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Evelyn Louise may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Evelyn Louise leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Esehak Atanas and Rachael Atanas. She is survived by: her sister Gloria Atanas Plaut; her nephew Christopher Plaut (Nancy); her niece Alexandra Plaut Hekking (Shaun); her great-niece Caitlin Plaut (Philip Matthaeus); her great-nephews, Matthew Plaut (Alexandra), Connor Hekking and Brady Hekking; and also Oliver Christopher Matthaeus.
