It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald E. Wishman of Williamsville, New York, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Wishman and Caroline Wishman; his siblings, Linda Payne (Thomas), John Wishman (Lisa) and Joan Harper (Colin); and his brother-in-law Joseph Amato Jr..

He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Wishman; his children, Ronald J. Wishman (Ann Marie) and Suzanne Sullivan; his grandchildren, Kaileigh Saeva (Alex Wojtulski), Matthew Wishman, Courtney Cross (Spencer), Carah Wishman, Caden Sullivan and Casey Sullivan; his siblings, Patricia Crysler (William), Donald Wishman (Madonna), Thomas Wishman (Sara) and Theresa Schindehette (Russell); and his sister-in-law Antoinette Gambino. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Fls Blvd, Amherst, NY 14226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Gregory the Great Church (200 St Gregory Ct, Buffalo, NY 14221).

“Ron was one of the nicest people I have ever met. When I was a new Lt in the Army, Ron was extremely patient and kind. He was well respected by the members of the unit, the senior enlisted staff and the officers. He made everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. He set a beautiful example of what a soldier, police officer and gentleman should be. He did this while sharing his knowledge and expertise as well as his wonderful sense of humor.
