She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur J. Young; her parents, Frank Ulm and Mildred Ulm; her siblings, Gloria Mathewson, Norman Ulm (Frances) and Theodore Ulm (Leona); and her stepson Robert Young (late Sharleen).

She is survived by: her sister Sherry Baiocco (late Robert); and her stepchildren, Jean Beamish (late Robert) and Linda Young (Curtis). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren through marriage and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
