He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Joseph (Scott), Richard (Kimberley), John, Jenny Hopkins, Cheryl Rodriguez (Jimmy), Jeanne Krueger and Billy Bonaffini (Melissa); his grandchildren, Danielle Hopkins, Tyler Rodriguez (Christina), Giovanni and Rocco Bonaffini; and his stepgrandchildren, Jason Leber and Katie Azbell (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Herman's name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
