He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn E. Doherty; his grandson Andrew; and his sister Suzanne Hess (late Thomas). He is survived by: his sons, Sean (Kelly), Kevin (Deb), James (Jennifer) and Brian Doherty (Brooke); his grandchildren, Brendan, Caitlin, Colleen, Matthew, Colin, Peyton and Avlynn; and his sister Joan Lips (late Gregory). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
