He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Cooney; his close friend Nancy Sawyer; his parents, Roy Cooney and Helen Cooney; and his sisters, Pearl Eaton and Eleanor Collier.
He is survived by: his son Roger M. Cooney; his sister Arlene Hubright; and his stepchildren, Karel (Karen), Todd (Theresa), Bruce Ambroz, Ellen Hall (Craig), Olen, Sharon Youngman and Laurie Eaton. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Roger can be made to the Pultneyville United Methodist Church.
