He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Young and Kate Young; his siblings, Diane Cole, Loretta Gabriel, Dorothy Johnson, Earl and Russell Young; his grandson Daniel Preston; and his stepdaughter Karla Luther.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Young; his children, Barbara Goodwin, Susan Young, Lory Preston and Robert Young; and his stepchildren, Carl Jr. (Jill), Gregory Turner and Debbie Rowe (Scott). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
