He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Barney and Eunice Barney (Sussey); his siblings, Dean Barney and Brenda Barney; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Perry, Mike, William Jr. and Darrel Rottier.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Rottier; his children, Randy Barney (Shari) of Malone, Kevin Barney of Malone and Tracie Cunningham of Cazenovia; his grandchildren, Seth, Luke Barney, Carli and Cameron Cunningham; his great grandchild Kaleb Barney; his siblings, Candy Gilbert (Cliff) of Texas, Mark Barney (Joy) of Whippleville, Craig Barney (Elizabeth) of Malone, Scott Barney (Helen) of Chateaugay and Bruce Barney of Liverpool; and his sister-in-law Patricia Barney of Liverpool. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
