He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Canne and Emma Canne (DeGrave); his wife Helen Simones; his daughter Dr. Judith Hilliker; and his brothers, Vince (Mary), Ralph (Elsie) and Robert Canne.
He is survived by: his son Richard Canne (Karen) of Canisteo; his grandchildren, Lisa Datthyn (Chris) of Sodus, NY, Tyler Canne (Ashley) of Canisteo, Zachary Canne (Mikayla Gardner) of Canisteo and Katherine Hilliker (Maggie) of Toronto; his great grandchild Jacob Datthyn (Allie) of Ontario, NY.; his brother Donald Canne (Pat) of Deruyter Lake, NY; his son-in-law Dr. Arthur Hilliker of Guelph; his caregiver Betty Mitchell; and his close friend Joyce Bacon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
