The memory of Virginia A. Sturdevant of Whitney Point, New York, who passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin C Ostrander-Ginny and Norma Jean Ostrander-Ginny (Whitney Point). She is survived by: her husband Robert R. Sturdevant Sr.; her brothers, Arthur, Stephen and Dennis Ostrander; her children, Robin Blass, Barbara Gorsline (Wayne) and Robert Sturdevant Jr. (Michelle); her close friend Laramie Smith; her sisters, Jean Ostrander and Susan Brant; and her sister-in-law Shirley Marye. She is also survived by children.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Countryside Christian Chapel (32 Bull Creek Rd, Whitney Point, NY 13862). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Center Lisle Cemetery.
