He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Dziegiel and Irene Dziegiel (Sczcesny); his brother Rudolph Dziegiel (Wilma); his brother-in-law Richard Matusiak; his son-in-law Karl Keida; and his grandsons, Keith Knight and Brandon King.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dziegiel; his children, Roger Dziegiel, Jr. (Heather) and Laurel King (Tim); his grandchildren, Kaitlin O'Connell (Leif) and Patrick Keida (Megan); his great grandchildren, Finley Grace and Freya Katherine O'Connell; and his siblings-in-law, John Presnal (Nancy) and Jean Matusiak.
