He is survived by: his parents, Francis Komnick and Phyllis Komnick (Smith); his wife Babette Schaefer of Patrick's Catholic Church; his daughter Lauren Groesbeck (Trey); his granddaughter Gracelyn "Gracie" Groesbeck; his siblings, MaryAnn Koscinski (Mike) and Peter Komnick (Sherry); his aunt Lorraine Descutner (Gerald); his niece Adelle Koscinski; and his nephews, Kevin Koscinski, Lucas Komnick, Ryan Komnick and Nicholas Hanna.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home (1122 Culver Ave, Utica, NY 13501).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Mitch's name may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
