She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Grunenwald and Gertrude Grunenwald (Fox); her husband Allen W. Gates; her son-in-law Andrew Egresits; and her brother Jacob Grunenwald.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Dust (Alan), Deborah Gibbs (Charles), Frederick Gates (Deborah), Wendy Egresits and Mary Mandel (Thomas); her siblings, Rosemary Carletta (Charles) and James Grunenwald (Charmaine); her siblings-in-law, Janice Grunenwald, Lolly Heburn and Barry Gates (Cathy); and her goddaughters, Sheila Gates Kinard and Donna Jo Carletta. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Gertrude's name to either St. Paul's Catholic Church Memorial Society or the Alzheimer's Association, envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
