He is survived by: his wife Kandy (Whalen); his children, Kerrie Gordon (Gary) and Rick (Jolene Flower); his grandchildren, Zachary Gordon (Hannah), Kassidy Gordon, Jessica Bruce and Rick Bruce; his mother-in-law Carolyn Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Piper Whalen and Barry Whalen (Jessie).

Donations may be made in Rick's name to the Diabetes Association.
