He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis N. Balch and Joyce Balch (Valondry); his son Jeremy S. Balch; his brother Terry F. Balch; his grandparents, Clayton, Gladys Balch, Felix G. and Lillian Valondry; and his stepgrandfather Richard M. Meek.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Ann Beckwith of Whitehall; his children, Kevin Balch (Lorie) of Whitehall and Julie Zacharewicz (Kevin) of Round Lake; and his aunts and uncles, Evelyn Casey, Ann Rodd, Ernest Steves, Donald and Barbara Balch. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
