He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold J. Rich and Cora P. Rich Of Whitehall (Constant); his brothers, Donald, Harold, Robert, Gorman, Les and Roland; his wife Dorothy; his children, Tom, Jason and Sheila; and his grandsons, Bert "Chris" Whidden and Johnny Byrnes. He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces, and cousins as well as good friends.
