He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilbert Benson and Elaine Benson; his wife Merle Winer Pollak; his former wife Eleanor Jo Rodger; his son Anders Rodger Benson; his sister Karn Benson Hill; his nephews, Steve and Andrew Hill; his stepdaughter Amanda Pollak (Gustav Peebles); and his stepgrandchildren, Rex, Agnes and Soren Peebles.
