He is survived by: his mother Martha Nelson; his wife Hyoncha Nelson; his son Raney Nelson Jr. (Jhoseline); and his sisters, Sheila Furman (James), Bridget Elaine Howard (Wayne) and Georgia Kerr. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
