With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Morton Bender of White Plains, New York, born in Richmond, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 23, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Isadore and Fred Bender; and his parents, Abe Bender and Rachel Bender (Elfmon). He is survived by: his wife Linda Weiss Sachs Bender of White Plains, NY; his sister Velma Hirsch (Stuart) of Pittsburgh, PA; his children, Andrew Bender of Santa Monica, CA, Renée Bender-Cohn (Michael) of Natick, MA and Daniel Bender (Samantha) of Bethesda, MD; his stepchildren, Pamela Feldman (Scott) of Potomac, MD and David Sachs of Carbondale, CO.; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Rebecca Bender, Matthew, Dayna Cohn, Isabella, Oliver, Charlotte Sachs and Jack Feldman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and grand-nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made in Morton Bender's name to the American Heart Association.
