It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maeve Ellen Doherty in White Plains, New York, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Doherty and Jane Monahan Doherty; and her husband Brian Perry of Yonkers. She is survived by: her daughter Megan; her son-in-law Deepankar Mukerji; her siblings, Dr. Robert J. Doherty, Heather O'Donnell and Kevin Doherty (Susan); and her grandchildren, Sitara and Ravi. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, Inc. (491 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY 10605). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Jesus Church (2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY 10595). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Maeve's love of animals, especially the cats she rescued and loved over the years, donations may be made to Paws Crossed Animal Rescue in Elmsford, New York.
