With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen R. Samuels of White Plains, New York, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on August 8, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cherr and Clara Friedman Cherr; her husband Allen H. Samuels; and her sister Arline Friedman. She is survived by: her sons, David (Melanie) of New Rochelle, Paul (Nurit Margulies) of New York City and Ronald (Laurie Cohen) of Eastchester; her grandchildren, Sarah (David Zalcmann), Stephanie (Michael Carniol), Adam, Rachel, Julie and Brian; and her great grandchildren, Owen, Joseph, Cayla, Madeline and Chloe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family asks that donations in Ellen's memory be sent to the Legal Action Center, 225 Varick St #401, New York, NY 10014.
