She is survived by: her aunt Dee Dee (Black); her daughter Florence; her grandchildren, Nashiem (Joanne), Tyrone, Nathan and Amaya; her great grandchildren, Jaine, Jayda, Simeon, Adriel, Emma, Matthew and Jax; her siblings, Jameelah, Bernice, Vicky, Ronald, Douglas (Allegra) and Bruce (Jean); and also Joe A. Carter.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (106 Sussex Ave, Newark, NJ 07103). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery (792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ 07036).
