He was predeceased by: his wife Joan P. Funnye; his son Harold Paul Funnye; and his siblings, George, Chappelle, Paul, Joesph Funnye and Pauline Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Michael B. Funnye of Palm Desert, CA, Clythie Funnye of Tarrytown, NY and David A. Funnye III (Nee Pamela) of Glen Falls, NY; his sisters, Janie Luck, Charlina Funnye and Doreatha Campbell of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Evyan Childs-Funnye of Atlanta, GA, Devin A. Funnye of Brooklyn, NY, Alexander Funnye of Glen Falls, NY and Joeanna Dial of Maryland. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
