Cornelia R. Evans Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Cornelia R. Evans of White Plains, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Patrick Ray and Eleanor Dunn Ray; her husband James D. Evans; her siblings, George, John, Mark, Jehovah, Annie Ray and Katherine Ray Kelley; and her niece Audrey Ray Bell.
She is survived by: her great-nephew Irving D. Bell (Karen); her goddaughter Shelly Gaines; her siblings, Connie and James; her friends, Sylvia Latimer and Jonette Mines; and also Jason E. Bell (Elisa).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1 Fisher Ct, White Plains, NY 10601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at the Ferncliff Cemetery (280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530). ATTENTION: During the continuing COVID & various health concerns, as we phase back into smaller capacity public visitations/services, we need your help in limiting/controlling the number of people, so please govern yourself accordingly for the health & safety of all.
In lieu of flowers, and as a lasting tribute & since the cemetery limits the number of flowers we may bring, the family appreciates/prefers a contribution be made in her name/memory/honor to: White Plains/Greenburgh NAACP, P.O.
